Care Assistant Training
Study to become a care assistant at Sataedu. There are plenty of jobs for skilled people!
The training is for people interested in care assistant jobs and the Social and Health Care sector.
The main job of a care assistant is to work in a home for the elderly. The job may involve assisting with washing, getting dressed, eating, mobility or daily tasks.
The training is divided into two study units: practical nurse, a vocational qualification in Social and Health Care
– promoting growth and participation, and
– promoting the participation of older people
The training includes work practice as a care assistant working with older people.
The aim is to enable students to carry out the work practice in their own home town.
The training can also be completed through apprenticeships and labour market training.
The language of instruction is Finnish, so you must have sufficient language skills (B1.1.) in both speaking and writing.
Applicants who are suitable for the Social and Health Care sector will be selected (see SORA legislation sataedu.fi/sora). Selection is based on aptitude tests.
The training is organised in Sataedu Harjavalta, Kankaanpää and Ulvila.
After the training, it is possible to continue your studies and become a practical nurse.
